Not even Microsoft’s stellar performance could help the markets today..more debt limit clownntime, even more of a clownshow going on at First republic, we will be lucky if the economy doesnt faceplant as opposed to any soft landing!

It’s never over till its over, bank jitters back to the forefront as First Republic Bank shares dump 41% on reported outflows coupled with an inability to sell their assets..oh dear!

Another quiet session as we await a slew of earnings along with whatever economic numbers that will shape the rate decision to be made by the Fed next week!

Well at least it’s Friday. That was painful, but there’s debt ceiling worries and the Fed’s rate hike to look forward to, so calm before the storm?

Tesla is having a bit of a torrid time as it drop 10.2%!!!!!(at time of writing) after disappointing results yesterday along with unconvincing rhetoric from Elon Musk.

With UK inflation stuck stubbornly above 10%(!)looks like they wont be lowering rates there anytime soon and with the debt limit about to take center stage this could be the calm before the storm

S&P finishing around unchanged in a quiet but choppy trade with hawkish Fed speak and mixed housing data.
